Education Specialist – Production

After 11 years as a primary maths specialist, Tom fully understands the needs of teachers and is passionate about supporting them, and the children, to get the best out of our platforms. He is a “whizz kid” with video production and is responsible for our snazzy videos, reels and training content.

Tor Caldwell

Creative Content Executive

Tor writes all our creative content; everything from social media posts, to blogs, case studies and audio stories. When she's not word crunching, you can find her on the tennis court or writing murder mystery party scripts.

Tom Cowley

Developer

After teaching maths, Tom subsequently became a full-time developer. Tom ensures that our systems are always ahead of the game, incorporating the latest technology. He has a flare for design as well as an exceptional talent for coding. When he is not working for Maths Circle, he loves to climb.

Karen Elkins

CUSTOMER SUCCESS EXECUTIVE

Karen utilises her experience in customer support, both in the private and public sector, to provide a first class service for all our customers. She's passionate about improving children's futures. When not working, Karen likes to rock out at live music events and get as much fresh air as possible

Alex Ford

Finance Director

Alex oversees our internal finances, helping with our reporting and compliance. He’s a qualified accountant with 10 years FD experience, and has a soft spot for education as a school governor. When he’s not number-crunching he’s a keen hockey player, although he plays in goal so he must be mad too!

Cedric Gumpic

Developer

Cedric is a talented developer who codes many of the cool teacher features of TTRS. He's a master bug fixer and app builder! He dances as a hobby and has built a fully functional school quizzing and learning platform for his local school in his spare time.

James Martin

Finance

James joined the team after a career in Banking and now enjoys crunching numbers for us! In his own time, he loves walking his beautiful lab, Lola, indoor climbing at Big Rock in Milton Keynes and rowing on the river in Bedford. He also volunteers for Willen Hospice and the Greensand Trust.

Helen Newies

Director of Product and Services

Drawing on a decade of experience in education technology, Helen ensures that our platforms are easy to use, create brilliant outcomes for young people, and are supported by outstanding support services. At weekends you’ll find Helen hiking through the Yorkshire Dales.

Sarah Parrish

Learning and Game Architect

Sarah has a background in design and uses her superb skills to create and shape our new game features and cool project collaborations. Sarah has a keen interest in photography and spends a lot of her free time with Wilf, her gorgeous working cocker spaniel.

Jen Pierce

Community Engagement Manager

Jen’s experience as a teacher and parent means she is passionate about helping schools and families with our platforms and engaging with our communities. She manages our teacher ambassador programmes, and leads our printed products. When not in the office, she enjoys practising her topspin forehand.

Adam Priest

Developer

Adam, as well as being an actual rock star, is our system architecture genius and is responsible for managing our servers and making sure everything is ticking along nicely. Right now, he’s building a virtual reality space mission as a hobby!

Saj Raza

Dev-Ops Lead

Saj oversees our development operations and ensures that our servers and systems are working like a dream, so that game play is as smooth as possible. He is also our chief data and stats guru, and a brilliant person to have on your team for any pub quiz!

Bruno created Times Tables Rock Stars in his classroom at a secondary school in London, to tackle the problem of children not knowing their times tables. He has an ambition to empower all maths learners with the confidence they need to succeed.

Nicola utilises her background in law to make sure all our boxes are neatly ticked and is our GDPR guru. She’s passionate about making a difference to maths outcomes for young people. When not working, you will either find her on the Peloton bike or with a glass of wine in her hand – but not both!

Kate Shears

FINANCE AND OFFICE ASSISTANT

Having worked for many years in a large secondary school admin team, Kate now shares her passion for office organisation with us. Kate loves the outdoors, walking her beloved Buddy the Labrador, and during the football season will be found on the sideline supporting her sons' football teams.

Dario creates incredible content for our platforms and social media channels, and oversees our online competitions. He is also the mastermind behind our merchandise sales. When he’s not in the office, you are likely to find Dario in the gym wearing his “whiter-than-white” trainers.

Robbie is a software developer and brings a wealth of classroom experience after working as a secondary maths teacher for 17 years. Robbie is passionate about using technology to reach disadvantaged and underperforming groups through gamification. In his spare time, he likes gaming with his kids.

UI/UX DESIGNER

Stuart is a UI/UX designer with an interest in story-telling, building up from failure, and social space design. Most likely found painting, playing TTRPG's, computer gaming, kayaking or hanging by their fingers on a wall.

Alex has over 15 years' experience managing websites and mobile apps for companies of all sizes. He loves solving tricky customer problems and helping the development team to build great digital experiences. Outside of work, Alex has an interest in electric cars and playing board games.
